The Matriculation and Intermediate Examination system in Rawalpindi has been updated with new guidelines from the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE)

Students who fall into the preference category will have three opportunities over four years to retake the test and increase their grades, while students who score below 50%, including those with D and E grades, will have four chances to do the same.

In addition, under the new regulations, registration and intermediate exams will be held twice a year. In addition, BISE will no longer hold additional and annual exams, instead, they only hold two annual exams per year.

Otherwise, only regular and private applicants for the Part II and mixed exams will be able to take the second annual tests, and from 2023 only Part I candidates can take these tests.

Likewise, the Department for Examination and Registration of Private Schools in Sindh has banned private schools and colleges from requiring parents and students to purchase uniforms, textbooks, copies, and stationery. from a select number of providers.

They are not allowed to charge students for extracurricular activities or dismiss students for non-payment of tuition fees without notifying DIRPIS in advance.

All Sindh Parents Association (ASPA) protested the province’s legal structure for private schools and colleges, which led to the event.
